Magic in Mazatlan: Destination Celebration in Mexico

November 25th, 2014

Talk about a Thanksgiving celebration to remember...

This time last year, we were traveling with one of our nearest and dearest families to Mazatlan, Mexico to create a magical Rehearsal Dinner for Michael and Stefy!

We wish we could do it all again...

With pitch perfect weather on our side, our guests dined and danced beneath the stars! From mariachi leading our guests through the streets, beautifully paired tequila courses, to an unbelievable Bossa Nova band rounding out the night, the evening was full of authentic entertainment and local charms.

Celebrations like this constantly remind us why we love we what do. We at Easton are infinitely grateful for our fabulous clients and creative partners who help make our collective dreams a reality.

Wherever you find yourself this Thanksgiving holiday, we hope you enjoy your family and friends and celebrate all that we have to be thankful for with the ones you love!

Lots of love to Stefy & Michael on their first anniversary, and a big hug to the entire Prentiss family!

Anna and Alex are an East Coast couple, but for their wedding celebration they invited their nearest and dearest to join them in one of their favorite places on earth - Jackson Hole. We at Easton were thrilled for the western adventure and enjoyed the challenge of creating a "refined rustic" atmosphere for their guests.

After much research and vetting, we collaborated with a phenomenal creative team to execute the vision at the oh-so-spectacular Snake River Ranch. One of our favorite elements of the evening was the guitar led stroll from the ceremony in the aspen grove to cocktails and the dinner tent! Guests were offered a celebratory cocktail as they meandered joyfully to the next event... a true Jackson experience.

Destination weddings allow couples the opportunity to share a place that is completely unique to them with their guests. We love digging in to what makes the location so special to our clients and helping them showcase those elements through their wedding weekend!

Sharing this wedding is especially timely as we head to Engage!14 Cayman Islands this weekend to explore another fabulous wedding destination. We are excited to connect with many of our industry friends and especially the ladies from The Knot who so kindly featured this wedding in the Fall 2014 issue. Lynn Easton is speaking this year and we cannot wait to hear what she has to share!!! We hope you follow us on instagram during the trip.

Many thanks to the amazing team who helped create such a wonderful wedding for Anna & Alex.

We at Easton Events enjoy "farm-to-table" dining thus we were inspired to create a "farm-to-vase" arrangement for our holiday table. We collaborated with the wildly talented Shawn Cossette of Beehive Events of Charlottesville to create our artfully composed arrangement. An heirloom silver compote was the perfect vessel to showcase the blooms. The floral menu blends beautifully with the dishes we plan to share with our guests: fruiting wild dogwood, pears, genovese basil gone to seed, cinnamon basil, wild privet berries, maple leaves, a la mode dahlias, and David Austen garden roses. We are grateful to photographer Eric Kelley for capturing the look for all of us!

Certainly this arrangement captures the warmth and spirit of the holiday season, but this palette would be equally fitting for a gorgeous late fall wedding! To see more of Shawn's enticing work with Easton Events please enjoy the following weddings: North Wales, Wild Cat Hollow, On the Boardwalk, and Layers of Copper Patina.

Garden & Gun - thank you for featuring our work and further inspiring all of our holiday seasons! To read more about the feature visit: Holiday-Prep - Southern Centerpieces 3 Ways
